Seal punch, probably 15th–16th century. A die with an openwork mount set into a simple wooden handle. On the die, within a double linear border (traces of an inscription are visible between the lines, including the partially erased word “sigillum”), there is a Renaissance-style shield containing a stamped image of ambiguous symbolism.
